To reiterate: The confederates lost the war. They were traitors to the USA. There will never be a “do over”. How do I know that? Because Americans understand slavery was bad. The confederacy was bad. Racism is bad. Overthrowing your country is bad*. War is bad, especially if it tanks the economy.
*Unless your country is not democratically elected, obviously.
