WYFP? Saturday, 30th of March, 2019: Family

Here’s an explanation of this group:

(Someone else wrote this explanation.)

Here’s my explanation of this group, written by me:

WYFP? means, What is Your F-ing Problem.

It’s a joke, because, traditionally, when someone speaks that phrase, it’s an angry, verbal attack. “What’s your f-ing problem!??” means, “Why are you annoying me?!?”

But here at Daily Kos, we are all about puppies and kittens, and we express mostly concern, and a desire to give each other emotional support.

So, when we ask that question in this Saturday night series of diaries,

we are truly asking if you have any problems you want to tell us about, and we will be your sounding board, your group therapy group, your peer support group.

That’s why the sign board above says, “May we find peace and healing here.”

There.

I took care of one of my problems: folks asking what does the WYFP? stand for.

Now, on to more problems.

My problems are still the same. Sorry if I’m boring you, but my problems are still here, and I like hosting for this group, since I take every rec and tip as a “Poor baby! We feel your pain! (as best we can imagine it. Then, we ignore you and eat pizza.)”

So, here we go again:

Most of my family, that I live with, that I truly depend on, they vote Republican, and believe in a literal reading of the Bible, creation and such, no big bang, no evolution.

But they love me.

And we have Bible study together, often, and I like it, since the Bible has useful advice, and the fairy tales have lessons in them, if you read them as parables.

But to reach out to someone who understands me better than they do, I reach out to you, presuming that most of you accept science, not fairy tales, and you accept news, not radical Republican conspiracies.

Thanks for reading.

Your clicks and comments comfort me.

Thanks again.
